About Me

I’ve worked as a registered nurse for the last 25 years in a variety of settings including medical/surgical units, hospice and primary care, dialysis and specialty clinics. I’ve even studied as a doula and helped deliver babies. For the last four years I’ve worked as an addiction nurse in a dual diagnosis (mental health and addiction) in-patient facility. I’m a member of the Institute of Coaching and am certified in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and positive psychology.

I myself am a survivor of domestic violence and am passionate about supporting women in similar situations. I’m a mother, a grandmother and in my spare time I love to travel, listen to jazz music, work in my garden, and spend time with family and friends.

I am also spiritually curious and over the last few years I have been on a personal path of discovery and healing through the practice of meditation. Learning to be in my body and sit with my emotions has taught me deep self-compassion, mind-body awareness and inner power.

The totality of my life experiences as a medical professional, a survivor, and a mother informs my practice as a coach.
