About Me

Teaching and parenting are highly emotional vocations and yet it is rare to find a coach who specializes in these fields. My focus in not on how to be a better teacher or parent, although the people I work with do become better teachers and parents. My focus is on helping teachers and parents understand themselves and grow themselves up through their teaching and parenting. Both are rich opportunities for personal development and for becoming the person they envision themselves becoming. We don't often see the opportunities for self-development in these fields, yet if we look carefully and are honest about what is there, there are riches to be uncovered.

I work one-on-one as well as with groups in full day workshops. My one-on-one work is geared towards understanding the context, meaning, and function of emotions in an individuals development, uncovering barriers to success including limiting beliefs and behaviors, and discovering the deepest yearnings an individual has and supporting them to meet those yearnings both at work and in their personal lives. My group work focuses on how emotions function in our development and learning how to harness them towards satisfaction and fulfillment.

I am a parent of four and have been a teacher for 26 years, so I know this field from the inside out. I have dedicated myself to supporting the emotional lives of teachers and parents.

I have my MA in Coaching and Leadership and am currently a doctoral candidate.
