About Me

My name is Laura. I am an American who resides in the Connemara region of Galway, and am available for virtual coaching sessions throughout Ireland and the U.S..
I have worked for over 20 years in behavioral health and wellness. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Boston University (BU) in Boston, Massachusetts, and my undergraduate work- also at BU- focused on psychology and cultural anthropology.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in the U.S. and provide professional, clinical counseling services in Minnesota. I am not, however, licensed for counseling in Ireland or other states, and may only offer coaching services; not clinical treatment.
The benefit in sessions with me that you will not find with most other life coaching services is that you will receive the same professional service, ethical consideration, and strict attention to privacy that my counseling clients receive; PLUS all of my professional knowledge and expertise tailored to your specific goals and situation. I work from a holistic, person-in-environment viewpoint and ask my coaching clients to examine all domains of their lives in order to achieve their goals and increase their overall sense of wellbeing.
I have much experience working with members of many intersecting communities, and I strive to provide an open, welcoming, and engaging space for all with empathy and a sense of humor. Plans are tailored to you, so you determine the goal(s). I provide you a fresh, informed perspective on problems or obstacles you may be facing, and assist you in building insight while also providing motivation, structure and accountability.
