About Me

I’m Prof. Kayla S. Stajkovic, an organizational psychologist, coach, and educator dedicated to empowering women leaders to unlock their full potential. With a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a background teaching MBA students at the University of California, Davis, I’ve spent years studying the intricacies of leadership dynamics, particularly the challenges faced by women in the workplace.

I am deeply curious about what makes leaders effective, especially in environments where traditional leadership models often clash with societal expectations of women. I’m passionate about addressing these challenges—such as the double bind, where women must balance assertiveness with empathy, and the confidence gap, which can hinder female career progression. These are not just academic concepts to me; they are real issues that I’ve seen countless women grapple with in their professional careers.

Through my research and teaching, I’ve developed evidence-based strategies that are not only rooted in research but also tailored to the individual needs of my clients. I believe that every woman can lead with confidence, authenticity, and impact—sometimes, all they need is the right support and guidance to unlock that potential. This belief drives me to create a coaching environment that is both supportive and challenging, where my clients feel empowered to explore new perspectives, embrace their strengths, and navigate their journey with resilience and purpose.

My research has been published in premier journals, such as Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Management, and I have co-authored several books on organizational psychology with Taylor and Francis (Routledge), reflecting my commitment to transforming research-based insights into real-life tools to help transform the workplace.
