About Me

Hi There! My name is Karen, and I am the owner and founder of Design a Dream - Life Coaching with L♥O♥V♥E♥.

So here's a little bit of everything you might need or want to know about me!

I was born in England and emigrated to South Africa in 1975, where I currently live, in Port Elizabeth, with my husband, Neil, my Mum (Jean or Granny), and our two dogs, Rosie and Buddy. I have two adult sons, who have grown and flown the coop to live with their respective partners. My family is my greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

From a professional point of view, I spent many years working as an office admin and freelance office temp, before finally settling on my current profession and passion as Design a Dream Life Coach. I'm also a freelance writer, blogger, and part-time online English teacher.

As far as coaching is concerned, I completed my Professional Coaching Certification through ICA (International Coach Academy)and graduated as a Certified Professional Coach in June 2007.

In addition to my coaching qualification, I also have certificates in Travel & Tourism, Public Relations, and Basics in Business, as well as in writing and freelance journalism. I'm also a published writer with articles appearing in a number of South African newspapers and magazines.

I am New Age Thought Advocate and like to bring Thought Dynamics into my work. I have worked, in a small capacity, with many Thought Leaders, and have read and digested many books on the topic, but am still a relative beginner.
