About Me
I'm queer, non-monogamous, self-diagnosed autistic, and love exploring the connections between people, ideas, and things.
Many of my clients come to me knowing they want something different, but stuck because they can't figure out quite what, or because they're pulled in so many different directions that it's hard to make progress on any of them. I love helping to untangle the messy web of people's thoughts, desires, and constraints and help to uncover a clear path forward - and a clearer picture of priorities and desires.
I'm also deeply interested in relationships of all kinds. I'm interested in friendships, our relationships with ourselves, our relationships with our work and our lives and our goals and our space, in addition to romantic or intimate relationships.
I love working with people who have experiences of not quite fitting the standard mold (in a variety of ways!) and finding paths for them to experience fulfilling connection, effective support, and developing paths to achieve their goals that are tailored specifically to them.
I'm enrolled in a coach certification program through the Institute for Life Coach Training, working toward my Associate Certified Coach credential with the International Coaching Federation (hopefully in early 2025).
I look forward to talking with you. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Reviews
I hadn't done any coaching before working with Karen, so I wasn't sure quite what to expect. I've seen a number of therapists, but coaching really does fill a different niche. Karen is somebody who is perceptive enough and able/willing to ask challenging questions, while also holding space for her clients to be themselves. During our sessions together, I found that I was discovering areas I was overlooking and things I hadn't considered, which, among other things, unblocked me from addressing some really difficult medical challenges in more constructive ways. The work we did was very valuable to me and highly impactful in my life, and I'm really glad that we had the opportunity to work together. I'd recommend Karen to anybody who's looking for a coach who is willing to look for what they're missing and help them to better understand their own options.
