About Me

As a homeschooling mother of 2 amazing boys I am all to familiar with the joys and struggles of raising a family. My oldest is now in that period of life that he is transitioning to college. This is a struggle for the most typical family. Mine has been anything but typical. I have been blessed to be the parent of an amazing high functioning autistic and ADHD son. Our road has been anything but smooth. We have had many struggles and have come up with amazing solutions to help us navigate this crazy life of ours.

So many times I have wished there was someone I could talk to. Someone who wasn't judging me, but who understood where I was coming from and what I was dealing with. Our struggles will never be the same, our devotion to our children and to making it work will be.

Being the parent to a special ability child has many challenges that can be very overwhelming. It will be our job when we partner together to find what the strengths of your family are and capitalize on them. It is easy to get stuck in a rut and feel overwhelmed - to get into a routine and stay there- even if it is not working. Our job will be to get you out of your rut and back into the drivers seat again. You are always the one who knows your child and life best. My job will be to help you capitalize on your strengths and create an environment where you and your child will thrive and grow together.

The work may not be easy, but you already know what it means to work hard for your child. Now let's put all your hard work to good use and bring some focus to all the effort you put in. My training as a social worker and the mother of a special ability teen will allow me to help you find the balance and drive you need to help your family reach your goals and see success.
