I have managed some of the most ego-bound prima-donnas of the high-tech world, difficult multi-billion-dollar contract negotiations, confrontational acquisitions, business turnarounds, and recalcitrant performance issues.
My coaching philosophy is an embodiment of modern management science, based on MBOR: management by objectives for results. For results are the hallmarks of performance, keeping in mind that it all begins and ends with people.
PLANNING - I help define the mission statement, articulate an inspired and inspiring vision, set aggressive but realistic goals, build effective strategies, develop actionable tactical plans and ensure flawless execution.
MANAGING – I help you find and recruit the best talent, motivate your workforce, improve morale and retention rates, evaluate and improve individual as well as team performance, give constructive feedback and achieve the kind of results others only dream about.
INNOVATING – One of the greatest challenges in this VUCA world (characterized by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) is managing innovation. Everything is changing rapidly all the time and the competition is fierce. I help you get the most from your creative staff while vastly increasing their job satisfaction.
I love working with CEOs and other C-level executives and I enjoy coaching freshly appointed first-line managers, however, most of my work is with mid-level managers. I work with leaders individually or with entire teams, either in regularly scheduled sessions or in two- or three-day intensive workshops.
My practice areas include engineering, R&D, marketing, finance, quality, logistics, HR, IT, manufacturing and education. My engagements have been in high-tech (software, semiconductors, automotive electronics) and in some low-tech fields.
