About Me
If you are struggling with difficult relationships--for example, with family where you need to set limits or become more independent, or in a romantic relationship where you feel powerless or frustrated--I invite you to contact me for a life coaching consultation. With a doctorate in psychology, but working in a life coach (not therapist) capacity, I am able to give direct advice to help you learn crucial life skills: clarifying your goals; envisioning healthier relationships; entertaining new choices; learning how to firmly and lovingly set limits called boundaries; and communicate to others how you would like to be treated. If you are ready to begin making changes in your life, and are prepared to do new things to get there, I would be thrilled to offer you coaching guidance. I have a special interest in LGBTQIA people; advocacy; teaching about setting limits with manipulative, aggressive, and selfish people; applying Buddhist thought processes like mindfulness and meditation to self-care practices that really work for busy adults; helping adult children become less reliant upon (or enmeshed with) their parents; and fostering posttraumatic growth in people who have survived any type of abuse or neglect. Please note that if you are in need of therapy, I will refer you to a qualified therapist; this life coach work is directive, goal-oriented, and aimed at quickly and effectively equipping you with the skills you need to make positive changes that last, as opposed to treating you for a mental health condition. The sessions I offer are full of education, feedback, and directive guidance about how to envision your goals, clarify your intentions, and communicate your desires. When you are ready to take the next step, I look forward to helping you move toward a more authentic, assertive, successful version of you.
