About Me

I have a passion for helping people achieve success and progress in and out of the saddle. I have been riding horses for practically my whole life which has taught me many life lessons in patience, understanding, non verbal communication, body language, energy level, and tone.
I have my BS in psychology and then got a research job at Johns Hopkins right out of college. Of course in the world of academia one degree is never enough. Trying to better myself, I looked into getting my masters in psychology but the methods didn’t seem good enough. I know that thorough my own experiences with family members the therapist and even the psychiatrist never really helped in the leaps and bounds that one would think years of therapy would do.
While I was in this search of what to do next, my Dad helped me purchase a horse farm which was my dream. Soon enough I was still working my full time job and running a horse business full of boarders, lessons, and horse shows. There were definitely ups, downs, twists, and turns with running the business. Midway through, my Mom had a stroke which was a game changer. I gained about 50 pounds along with a few other medical conditions over the course of several years since I put everyone ahead of myself.
Well, what now I asked myself as I looked for inspiration? I had always wondered what life coaching was, so I did a little bit of searching and decided to hire my own life coach. In only 2 months I was now exercising, riding, planning my meals, losing weight and becoming happier. At the same time I figured out a way to build another barn so that I could expand and make more income.
After this experience, I decided that coaching was the answer and I wanted to be a coach so that I can help people change for the better! I obtained my certification and love helping people.
