About Me

Hi, I’m Jennifer, and I’m passionate about helping people find fulfilling careers and thrive in leadership roles. In a career spanning 15 years, I have led talent acquisition, talent management, training, and human resources for enterprises ranging in size from 500 to 10,000 employees—all because I believe that what we do matters, and that our gifts and talents should be maximized to positively impact others.

The average person will spend 90,000 hours working in their lifetime. I’m committed to ensuring that those hours are spent in a way that aligns with your values, leverages your unique strengths, and contributes meaningfully to your life and the lives of others. This belief fuels my work as a career coach, where I specialize in guiding mid-career professionals, leaders seeking growth, and individuals navigating major transitions.

Before spending seven years in leadership roles in the healthcare field, I was the human resources leader for a joint-venture startup between AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile that developed what is now known as the Google Wallet on Android devices. My work has been recognized by HR Today for excellence in Employer Branding, and I’m a proud winner of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Award of Excellence for internal communications.

I’m also a member of the Society of Human Resources—Dallas HR Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, and the Advisory Board for the School of Journalism at Baylor University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, I hold a Master of Science in Management, Administration, and Organizational Behavior from the University of Texas at Dallas.

As the founder of Joy of Work and a certified ICF certified ACC coach, I’ve created a coaching practice that’s warm, yet direct—infused with humor to make the journey both impactful and enjoyable. I help clients align their careers with their broader life design, gain clarity and confidence, and rediscover joy in their profess
