About Me
I’m a psychologist providing online therapy and coaching for adults of all ages; non-judgemental and inclusive. I have worked for years at inpatient settings with people facing serious physical and psychological challenges. I am a strong believer in God, and enthused to work with religious and spiritually oriented people. I blend mindfulness, psychotherapy and coaching strategies into an integrated therapeutic approach. For religious and spiritually oriented people, I integrate religious beliefs and practices into the process of therapy and coaching. I am most focused on the uniquely personal relationship with God and spirituality, respectful of religious scripture, beliefs and practices. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, relationships, overcoming illness and trauma, chronic pain, religious and spiritual conflicts and confusion, mindfulness, prayer, resilience, and enhancing overall health and wellness.
My psychotherapy and coaching approach centers on mindfulness based cognitive therapy. Therapy focuses on identifying and unraveling emotional “knots” and beliefs that are self-defeating and self-diminishing. This involves identifying what you believe and how you feel about yourself and your place in the world. These are built up over a lifetime and affect almost every aspect of your life. Your deepest beliefs and thought patterns are emotionally charged because they usually develop in the context of strong emotional issues and circumstances. Mindfulness and meditation techniques help to foster the kind of openness and inner strength needed to confront and change these patterns. There are many self improvement approaches and techniques. An integrated coaching and therapy is particularly suited to effect real changes, improving the way you think and feel in your everyday life. More confidence, positive thought patterns and emotions can then emerge and grow. The result is improvement of your overall effectiveness, happiness and fulfillment.
