About Me
I am an ICF credentialed coach and a HR professional having worked at both operational & strategic levels of HR management. My exposure to a multinational set up contributes to my experience while supporting different countries in Africa and Middle East.
In previous roles I was responsible for driving HR strategy, change management and organizational development. My key achievements include setting up the HR organization at Syngenta East Africa with just under 40 employees. My responsibilities were later expanded to cut across our 4 business units in East Africa both Commercial and Production with over 3000 employees. I also served as People & Organisation Development Manager for Africa & Middle East supporting South Africa, Greece, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe & Kenya.
I worked as Group head of Human Resources at Jubilee Insurance Company, the largest Insurance company in East Africa with a workforce of over 900 and 3000 sales representatives. Key milestones were implementation of a job grading and salary structure, implementation of the Balanced Scorecard, process automation (HRMIS rollout), introduction of Employee Wellness Program, development of a Leadership & coaching program, a Graduate Management Trainee Program and improved employee benefits. Our company won the Human Resource Focus Award for the 2 years consecutively (2013&2014) during the Company of the Year Awards (COYA) organised by Kenya Institute of Management. I received the COYA Manager of the Year Award in Kenya, 2014.
I serve as President-Elect for International Coach Federation (ICF) Kenya Chapter Board and previously board member at the Institute of Human Resource Management .
My self drive and passion for people development has greatly contributed to my career growth as a HR professional. This coupled with strong interpersonal skills have enabled me to develop and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders hence becoming a dependable HR business partner.
