About Me

As a life coach, I help people looking to find more meaning, purpose, connectedness, happiness, inner peace, love, fulfilment, soulfulness and sense of direction in their lives, encouraging and empowering them to ask the big questions, and find the courage to pursue their dreams and goals, whether big or small.

I do this by drawing upon my background in Philosophy, especially Existentialism, the science of wellbeing from the field of Positive Psychology, as well as my own personal and spiritual journey.

As a seeker of wisdom and devotee to the path less travelled, I have gone far from my little home country of Singapore, to live in and travel to places as diverse as Mexico, India, South Africa, Israel, Palestine, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia. It has taught me three key things: 1) no country is perfect (everywhere has its own problems); 2) we are more similar than different from each other than we might think and 3) the world is a beautiful, wondrous and sometimes heartbreaking place, filled with mostly good people and some ignorant ones.

In terms of my inner journey, my induction into and practice of Vipassana* meditation have had a tremendous impact on how I am as a person, how I see reality and how I live.

To build on Socrates's quote, I believe not only that the unexamined and unexplored life is not worth living, but that we can aim for even loftier goals: to thrive, not despite, but because of all the suffering that life is bound to bring. We have to learn to embrace all of it: the light and the dark, and that is how we can live a good life.

I am fortunate to be able to do really fulfilling work as a consultant at The School of Positive Psychology, bringing the joy and immense benefits of learning about Positive Psychology (as well as other Psychology-related topics like Psychotherapy and Counselling, Organisational Psychology and Leadership, Child Psychology, etc) to individuals and organisations, through our academic programmes as well as talks and works
