Married since 1982, has two sons, both married, and 3 grandsons. Don spent 10 years with his wife in volunteer leadership roles with a boy’s youth organization. He helped develop the winter sport of Luge in Canada in preparation for the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games. He was a member of the National Natural Luge team for 3 years, racing in Europe and Canada, Canadian Men’s Champion in 1986, coached young luge athletes and held various leadership roles in the Canadian Luge Association including National President. Other activities included 10 years in martial arts, years learning, and subsequently teaching Tai-Chi. Don completed his MBA in 2007 with a major in Community Economic Development. Don loves to travel, gardening, and reading.
