I used to feel lost inside my own head. I was feeling fear, guilt, and shame on a nearly-constant basis, and I didn’t usually notice because I was so disconnected with what I was feeling. A few years back, I was introduced to Internal Family Systems through Jay Earley’s Self Therapy, and everything changed. Now I have a map.

I was always curious about more mystical practices, since they were obviously an important part of the human experience, but I needed to explore how they were working while keeping in mind Reductionism, and the inviolable nature of the laws of physics. I always wanted to know what the mechanism was.
