About Me
In 2008 I sustained a severe TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), leaving me paralyzed and in a 1.5 month coma. I had to relearn everything from reading and writing to walking and talking. ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) were also difficult to relearn. These including self care and personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, managing finances, juggling adult schedules and routines, work, school, among others.
I returned to school in 2009 and graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Behavioral Science, emphasis Psychology in 2011. I continued on with graduate studies - an MBA for non-profit business and a Master's of Financial Planning and Analytics. Both of those were cut short due to seizures - which we've found to be stress induced.
I am no stranger to life's difficulties - being raised until age 11 by a single mother. I helped raise my younger siblings while mother worked multiple jobs, dated, remarried, divorced; and repeated marriage and divorce several times.
My rock was my grandparents and the Church. Being an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has always been what I would consider as a key to my progress. And I use those same values in my coaching practice.
After serving a two-year mission for the church in Tijuana, Mexico, I speak fluent Spanish.
I have worked in the stock market - being a trader and teaching others to trade. I also love teaching others how to budget, reach their financial goals, and the best tools to utilize for tax free retirement. I had my Series 7 & 63 licenses, as well as my Life & Health Insurance licenses.
I am excited to help others overcome life's challenges - be it through one's own choices or the choices of others. I believe we're all in this together and can offer to help each other a little more. Be grateful, be smart, be clean, be true, be humble, be prayerful. There are no coincidences. Life happens FOR us and not TO us.
