About Me

My name is Cristina Spataro, and I am a New York State licensed mental health counselor as well as a certified professional coach. I have worked with adults, children and families in crisis for the past 18 years. If there is one thing I have learned is that everyone has the capacity for change if they truly want it. Life is hard, and the "right" choices are not always so apparent. Our decisions and their consequences leave us questioning ourselves. While I have specialized in lending assistance when things get really bad, I truly love to see my clients get the help they need beforehand. which is what inspired me to make life coaching a cornerstone of my practice.

In the many years I have been working as both a counselor and a professional coach, I have observed that oftentimes many of the issues my clients struggle with that are interfering with them achieving their personal goals can often be related to breakdowns in one form or another in the significant relationships in their lives. Therefore at the core of my coaching services I offer a particular emphasis on relationship coaching whereby I aid my clients in enhancing communication, overcoming obstacles and forming stronger bonds with the people in their lives.

I like to think of myself as a sort of GPS for life choices, I help my clients develop the roadmap for where they want to go in life with the choice of what route to follow being entirely up to them.
