I am a coach/ consultant for startup businesses. I am the author of several books and articles on money, labour, and the economic crises in history. I am also an experienced international speaker. I organise workshops on how to start your business, while I offer one-to-one coaching.

In 2001 I finished my PhD in economic history. Since then, I worked as an academic guiding students on all aspects of life and work but with an emphasis on employability, entrepreneurship and leadership. At the same time I was running my own businesses. I had several startups, some of which were very successful, some moderately successful, while one of them was a spectacular failure. Failing as well as succeeding has been part of a very long learning process.

Since 2011 I became intimately acquainted with the Lean Startup Method. This method emphasizes on developing a customer base early on, and finding the perfect product-market fit. The potential of success or failure of the business becomes evident already in the first few weeks; this way, the waste of money and time is minimal. The method has proven its value over and over again and now I use it consistently as the basis of my business and entrepreneurship startup coaching.

I implement the Lean Startup method in all aspects of the new business: finding a niche, customer development, marketing and social media, developing a product or service. As I see it working over and over again, I am convinced about its value.
