About Me
As a Leadership Consultant at Leadership Worth Following, an Exec. Development firm in Irving, TX, I help teams and leaders optimize engagement, performance, collaboration, and well-being at work. I have a PhD and Master's in IO Psychology, as well as two Bachelors in Counseling Psychology and Religion.
MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY
More often than not, people have good intentions. Yet our intentions don't always lead to a good impact. You want to help your company by getting results? That's a great intention! But if you're leaving a trail of burnt bridges in the process, that's not good.
Based on this philosophy, I help leaders get insight into: (1) what drives their behavior and (2) the impact they are having on those around them. In other words, I help leaders GROW into the great leaders they intend to be.
MY PROCESS
Coaching involves four steps: (1) connection, (2) data, (3) brainstorming, and (4) accountability.
Connection means you are in a safe environment. You are the client. Your data is confidential. I work to hear you and understand your needs. But this is not therapy - your time and money are valuable, so we set the relational foundation and get right to work!
Data means there will be some assessment. This could be a personality tool, 360-degree feedback, or even workplace simulations. Growth is hard if you don't know where you're starting from, and validated assessments are a great way to build this insight.
Brainstorming means I'm not "telling" you what you need to do. Importantly, though, I'm not just asking you "powerful questions" or coaxing you to just "figure it out yourself." We will work together to identify opportunities and generate solutions.
Accountability means we check in regularly to track progress and adjust goals as needed. I can also help you develop ways to communicate your coaching plan to others, so you can benefit from extra accountability in your own network.
Looking forward to working with you! Thanks

Through use of the DRiV and in conjunction with Chris’s coaching, I came to a deeper understanding of my core drivers. Working with Chris through his process enabled me to hone in on what I was looking for in my career, realize what I should be seeking from a culture standpoint, and analyze my own unique strengths and opportunities. Shortly thereafter I leveraged these learnings in an interview to effectively convey to the team what I was looking for and what I would bring to the role. The understanding that resulted from using the DRiV ultimately allowed me to land that job where I have been able to leverage my strengths and engage in a culture that is a great fit!

Chris helped me realize that I needed to overhaul my approach to delegation. After just one coaching chat, I was able to completely change how I delegated and coached my team. I was able to be more helpful to my team, while also decreasing my stress and increasing my effectiveness. This one tweak to my leadership approach really helped kickstart a new phase of growth in my career.
