About Me
I was born in Durham, North Carolina and grew up the son of a US Congressman. My family valued achievement, however I never felt drawn to the traditional path of education and career. Instead my initial pursuits were self-taught: software development, writing articles and books for software developers and system administrators and then building tech companies. In 1999, after selling my third company for 8 figures, I realized that, while money provided nearly unlimited options, achievement alone didn’t provide the fulfillment I was expecting. I had been interested in personal growth and mindfulness since high school and so began a path of coaching that I remain on to this day. This inner path has provided a clarity, healing and vision that continues to be a source of direction and fulfillment.
Coaching is about discovering, ultimately, who and what you are. It is based in mindfulness and Universal Principles and is wholly practical. Coaching is about first shining a light into the dark places in yourself that you abandoned, or swept under a rug. Then healing old wounds that have been running your life, some since childhood. And finally, coaching is about creating a vision for your life, your business, your relationships that is completely authentic for you. After that, it’s an ongoing process of using tools and building a structure for living your purpose and vision. One of my greatest joys is to support you in that process, from clarity through vision and then living a centered life…living that vision.

I saw Charles for 10 one hour sessions over 10 weeks. Each week I learned something new about myself as well as better ways of looking at and handling some of life challenges.
