About Me

Focus
I partner with working parents of young children who desire greater control over their drinking habit. However, you don’t have to be a parent or be working to benefit from a coaching relationship with me. The most important thing is that you are committed to changing your current behaviors, you can imagine a better life, and you know you will be more likely to succeed in your goals with the help of someone who has walked the path of finding freedom from their own alcohol habit.

Training
I am a trained and experienced therapist and social worker. I earned a BA in Anthropology and a Masters degree in Social Work. Before becoming a coach I was a child and family therapist, specializing in working with youth and parents who have experienced depression, anxiety, and trauma.

I am a certified This Naked Mind Institute Coach and integrate the work of Annie Grace's The Alcohol Experiment and This Naked Mind. This approach lets you deeply examine how your thoughts and behaviors lead to your drinking habit. And by exploring this connection, you will find freedom from alcohol without waging a battle of will power (because science shows that it doesn't ever work for long).

In addition to my training and formal education, I have professional training in the following areas:

-Understanding the effects of trauma on a person’s body, mind, and spirit
-Healing from trauma
-Cognitive-behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety
-Mindfulness, meditation, and Eastern philosophies of the mind-body connection
-Positive and effective parenting techniques
-The science of addiction and habits, especially in regard to alcohol

I offer a variety of coaching programs depending on your needs, goals, and desires. Coaching is offered through virtual calls (Zoom) or if you're local, in-person coaching is also available.

You don't have to know where you are going to know that you want your current behaviors to change.
