About Me

I am an independent life coach providing services in the Des Moines Metro area as well as via phone to all around the world. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, community mental health, residential, the Iowa National Guard, Drake University, and private practice.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Northern Iowa with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. Following my undergraduate work, I completed my graduate work at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY earning my Master of Science in marriage and family therapy. I have attended coaching training through Coachville.

I have completed training in EMDR therapy. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.

In my therapeutic stance I like to think holistically and make sure to pay attention to the connection between mind/body/spirit. My eclectic approach to therapy has roots in Rogerian Client-Centered Therapy and Systems Theory, often pulling from cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based skill sets. I believe in every human's capacity to heal and grow with the right combination of hard work and support. It is a true honor to me to be a part of your healing and growth process with you.
