The "secret" that successful professionals/entrepreneurs have in common:

Some years ago I was finishing a mentoring session with a person and she asked me why was it so unfair that some people get promoted and others don't. The next day a similar situation happened and a colleague that had a small business shared that a new restaurant in his neighborhood was a success, while he was struggling with his own business for so long and feeling frustrated with poor results.

Almost a decade passed and similar stories kept coming up on my journey as a mentor and business consultant of professionals from small or big corporations. Although the context was different for each person, I realized that I was applying a common technique to all cases and this was resulting in more satisfaction with the careers and businesses of the people I was mentoring.

With 10+ years of experience as a mentor at corporations, including 5 years as a business consultant at a leading global strategy consulting firm, I have observed and applied with mentees what makes it to deliver more impact (with less stress). It is based on a "value creation" premise.

More than great results, promotions, and revenue increase (which are all great), a single sentence from a previous client made me truly realize how great was to partner with someone and help them find and achieve their professional goals. This client, after a period of being assisted by me on his business strategy, once thanked me and told me: "It was never only about the business itself, It was always about me".
