About Me
"You have seen your own strength.
You have seen your own beauty.
You have seen your golden wings.
Of anything less,
why do you worry?
You are in truth
the soul, of the soul, of the soul" - Rumi
As someone whose initial academic background and core career are in business and finance, rather than directly in the coaching field, I would describe my coaching model as a combination of:
- the Results Coaching Systems (RCS) modality, which is neuro-science based, and focuses on defining and working on tangible goals,
- an experiential self-mastery framework, which focuses on identifying and transcending internal self-limiting programming, which often are the stumbling blocks to optimum performance,
- insights and mirroring arising from my own professional experience working in a broad range of industry sectors and environments, and
- fostering a transformative and safe space in the relationship between myself and the coachee.
Looking back, I think it started with friends and colleagues, saying things like:
"I never thought of it like that before"
"You listen really well"
"You really helped me to make this decision"
"Talking to you, made me realize that..."
"You ask really good questions"
At first I didn't realize what it meant.
Then I read a book by Martha Beck (The Master Coach also famously featured in Oprah magazine), who described how she came to be a Life Coach. When I read that, I thought: Aha! That sounds like me.
But years passed, and Life when on.
In the meanwhile, over the years, I've explored a growing interest in psychology and self-development; but for a long time I never associated this interest as anything more than something I enjoyed very much, and did for myself.
Eventually I came to see that executive coaching could be a creative way for me to integrate my finance, business and corporate experience, with my interest in developmental and personal transformation.
