About Me

I believe that anyone can be an artist, but it takes something special for someone to enact art in their lives. Survival is not easy. Work can be draining. This leaves us with little time to develop the emotional, relational, and social wellness we need to draw on best selves. We need to be our best selves to make and do the best art.

I have experience in portfolio development, helping people to understand and expand their appreciation of art, especially the most misunderstood artwork and artists. My method is to first analyze the artist-artwork relationship. Then, we discuss and develop the conceptual scaffolding surrounding that relationship. Finally, we discuss the materials, appearance and then presentation. I can offer a traditional critique or studio visit. In addition to that I offer a series of methods for examining more profound issues and also regaining some of the levity and joy.

I am very private, confidential, and autonomous from the art world. My professional work is in helping people become artists, teaching, and assisting artists. This is my more profound art practice.
