About Me

My life has been staked to a belief that anything is possible and yet, like many professionals, I have experienced both internal and external obstacles on my way to achieving results. Being a “Curious George” and “Reformer” type by nature, I found my ability to identify and understand the underlying structural conflict in a process or system to be the catalyst to achieving long-term personal and professional success.

It was during a 10-year period with a Boston based manufacturing company that my way of leading others was transformed. Faced with financial uncertainty, whether or not we would have access to the working capital required to operate the business, we painfully began to see our current reality, and realized the need for change. Systemic changes to our culture and core business processes would be necessary to meet our financial objectives.

It was here that the ownership and management team learned to lead. At first we implemented new business planning and problem solving methodologies, that improved our performance. Yet, these changes alone were not going to be enough. It was going to take more.

We needed a collective commitment, at all levels and one common purpose, but first we needed to stop "the blame game" and see what needed to be done, to be profitable player in our marketplace - competitive quality, price and onetime delivery.

Our mantra, “Change the Way You Think About What You Do”, replaced blame and helped create a new cultural belief system that we could compete and that our goal was achievable. Gone was blaming others for missing targets, in its place was a new sense of shared responsibility, cooperation, and commitment to continuous learning and improvement. We exceeded our goals by doing the work that we needed to do.

Today my intention lies deeply in creating partnerships, with individuals, teams, and organizations to develop self-authorized, creative, cooperative, courageous leaders, in business and in life.
