About Me

I am certified in Mental Health, Crisis Intervention, Family Dynamics, Relationships, & Couples Counseling. I also focus on Blended Families and more specifically I coach the Step Parent to navigating the impossible role of step parenting and dealing with the toxicity that can come from taking all of that on.
Although I can work within the frameworks of the counseling world, I prefer to be more of a straight shooter & tell it like it is. I went down this road of coaching because I wanted the freedom to actually be able to give helpful advice or call you out on unhealthy behavior. Psychologist and therapist aren't able to do that, they are stuck inching you along hoping you'll " get there yourself."
I found that most people were reaching out for help at their lowest and ended up leaving dissapointed in the reality of what therapy can do for them. What they really needed and wanted was a leader who could give them direction and put them on that track by end of session ONE.
My background is in law enforcement which means I know exactly how to handle high-level states of emotional crisis as I have had to wear a therapist cap many times, in many different scenarios.
When I recognized that it was a piece of the job I particularly excelled at , I thought it might be time to focus more on helping people in the mental and emotional way.
