Adams coaching has had a positive effect on me professionally and personally. In reflection thinking about day 1, I came into it knowing I wanted to make changes in how I reacted in situations but not sure how the process could be used to help me. As we progressed the coaching help me understand how the short-term effect of being intense, fiery, or overly direct could and in some cases had stalled my reports. Focus on goals only and hard charging toward them without thinking through "how" we should meet them came down as pressure to team below me. I have picked up coping mechanisms in times of stress or anxiety. I started the process really having to think about how I respond to certain situations and over the 6 months with Adam developed into a person who stays even and noticed I no longer was concentrating on thinking through each situation. I found the team began to bring me more situations and seek input. I saw the results downstream get better and I feel a since of inclusion downstream. I have had tougher conversations with my leaders with better results in how they achieve than before. Approachability has improved and ability to drive ownership vs pressure has resulted in a better team. The outcome of coaching for me personally are: Moved from abrupt to balanced, change perception of dictator to facilitator, move from agitated to calm becoming less impatient, I have developed in a leader that defers to my team of leader's vs aggressive in getting things done. With the support of my coach, leader, and others this process became very enlightening and productive to me. I am happy with who I became out of this. I go forward as someone who through hard work and strong self-reflection is confident in changes I made through this process.

Adam's approach of allowing me to drive the conversation with thought-provoking questions led me to come to conclusions on my own. This is far more effective than learning a new process and it is naturally easier to implement as it is unique to me. I really enjoyed the conversations with Adam to fully appreciate what coaching is and how I can improve areas of weakness or areas that may cause anxiety.
