The ADLER-Faculty of Professional Coaching's flagship certificate program was launched in 1998 with a broad focus, which included a foundational program, coaching in the context of work and coaching mastery. It continues to incorporate a wide variety of practical coaching techniques based in a depth of ideas drawn from Adlerian theory, focusing on the individual and how the individual impacts the greater society, along with positive psychology, appreciative management, contemporary organizational development, and transformative adult education.

The certificate program was the first in Canada to be reviewed and designated as an Accredited Coach Training Program by the International Coach Federation in 2002, a designation that was renewed in 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2019.
