What do you want to achieve in the next year by hiring a coach?
I’m needing to make a change in my job and don’t know exactly what I want to do next. Possibly considering a significant career shift after working in nonprofit fundraising for a decade.
Tell us about yourself.
I have a BFA in dance and quickly fell into a career in fundraising and philanthropy for performing arts nonprofits after college. I have been working for a fundraising consulting firm for 8 years and have really enjoyed it. But the company is at a crossroads and making a lot of changes and has given me an ultimatum — leave or take a pay cut and essentially a demotion to stay. I don’t think I want to stay in fundraising but don’t know what I DO want. I have experience working with over 40 nonprofits, have managed teams, worked with leadership and board members. I am in my mid-30s.
