Tell us about yourself.
I am 31 years old and roughly 8 years into my professional career. I'm at an inflection point where I'm considering a career change. Previously, I have worked in Account Management for professional services companies (Gartner and EY). The industry has been largely unfulfilling to me and as a result I feel that my performance suffered. Instead of jumping straight into another job, I want to do my due diligence and figure out what the next step is. In addition, I would like to improve my communication, speaking, and leadership abilities to level up once I do end up at the next step in my career. I have been having some conversations with people in commercial insurance and am interested in making a pivot to an underwriting role as it fits my desire to be in something that leverages both analysis and relationship building.
