Day 19: Turn on Your Kindness Radar
I did this! 213Posted on December 19, 2013
In the first 18 days of December, you've done a marvelous job proactively spreading kindness to the world. You've performed 7000 kind acts and counting!
Your kindness muscle is strong.
Which tells me that you are ready to go from performing AoKs that are planned in advance to spending a day seeking spontaneous opportunities to flex your well toned muscle. In order to do that, you need to turn on your kindness radar and see where you can be kind to your fellow humans and polar bears in whatever situations life throws at you.
- Driving to work? It's easy to get zoned out listening to tunes. Find ways to pay particular attention to other drivers and pedestrians.
- Walking along the street? Rather than stare at your toes, look for people who need a hand carrying something or hold a door for someone.
- In the office and have a few spare moments? Don't just jump on email. See who can use your help to fix a bug or put a proposal in the mail.
- Hungry and grabbing a snack? See who else wants something and get it for them.
Keep your eyes and ears open to the many AoK opportunities the world offers up to you today. You’ll be amazed at how many there are – if you’re constantly on the lookout for them.
Have fun and tell us about the unplanned kindness opportunities that you seized today.
