Dear Coaches,
We’ve received a number of complaints from coaches indicating that they’ve been contacted by Union Info Centre who are posing as Noomii partners. Proceed with caution.
Here’s what we know about them:
- They claim to be working with or have been recommended by Noomii. This is false. We don’t have any partnership or association with them. We don’t endorse their services.
- They claim to have some sort of partnership or association with union members or military workers. We don’t know if any of those claims are true.
- Although they may not mention it up front, they are a paid service. They may offer a 60-day refund but we don’t know if they will honour the refund, should you ask for one.
We have issued a cease and desist order to their people, asking them to stop contacting our member coaches.
If they call you, please proceed with caution.
Regards,
Stephan Wiedner and the Noomii Team
I have received at least 10 phone calls from these people. They never identified a Noomii connection but they have been obnoxiously pushy and though I asked them not to call again, I finally had to just hang up on them. I don’t know who they are, but they are annoying.
Thanks Stephan and Kurt for your swift and thorough response. Although I did not engage their services (my suspicious Jersey nature kicked in!), I know a few colleagues who did. Knowing that we as coaches rely on our integrity and honesty to set us apart, this organization is especially heinous. To all my colleagues out there: warn others! Big props to Noomii for taking strong action in support of coaches!
I went through several phone calls with them and attempted to negotiate a deal. They did identify that they got my name from my Noomii listing, but did not say they were working with them. After very unprofessional behavior I started doing research on the company. I decided, based on what I found, not to try to do any sort of business deal with them.
They do not have the traffic to their sites that they state. They have a very “loose” relationship with the unions I contacted and do not have a good business standing.
Agreed, proceed with caution.
I was contacted a couple times, the first being the day after I signed up with Noomii. They did not identify themselves as being associated with Noomii, but did mention the union and military. I did go to their web site and it is a service that you pay for them to put you on a bill board type thing. I decided I wasn’t interested and just didn’t answer their phone calls. They stopped calling.
Thank you for the heads up. I have been contacted but so far, I missed their calls. I will proceed with caution.
