Sometimes the process of being in “search of your dreams†is just a distraction. You can spend your whole life searching without ever understanding that the answer was already within you.
Dreams can be illusive and seem out of reach. We propose that you stop searching, and rather start creating your dreams. Visualize what you want. If you aren’t sure of what you want, then take a baby step in the direction that pleases you most.
2 Steps to Create Your Dreams
1. Choose the Wrong Thing
What gets in the way in our pursuit of a dream is the fear of not getting it right. What if you took “getting it right†off of the table? Life can be messy, and although it is uncomfortable, sometimes a mistake is the best way to learn something.
Failing fast and making mistakes helps you recognize your strengths and pinpoint weak spots. The truth is that you can never really know what you really want if you haven’t discovered what you don’t want. Giving yourself the freedom to explore your dreams is the first step to realizing your dreams.
2. Try Out New Things
A dream can be a someday, one day, maybe reality or it can be a goal that you attain over and over again. It’s really about your point of reference and whether you are willing to take chances and fall down.
In order to create your dreams, you’ve got to take action. Go ahead and try something new, even something small. Going after your true desires takes perseverance and commitment. If that sounds hard, it’s much harder if you are beating yourself up for what you could have done or never even tried.ÂÂ
So stop searching for your dreams and start living them, right now. Not tomorrow when it’s more comfortable, or when your ducks are in a row. The time for creating a life that you love and are excited to wake up to is NOW.
There are awesome resources to stop procrastinating, frameworks to get focused, and specialized coaches to support you.
It’s time to be brave and fight for what is burning inside you to be expressed. Start living your dreams today!
