Happy Friday Everyone!
What would happen if every time someone asked you how you were doing, you answered “Unbelievable! I’m on day 9 of a 30-day challenge to scare myself everyday
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re week’s been unbelievable.
While you ponder my opening question, I’m going to share with you how Diane got 8 clients in 30 days and a couple of other fast action tales of client attraction success. No magic wands or fairy dust here. Just real life.
These stories are the perfect way to end your week, and will hopefully fuel you to a fresh new client attracting, business building, unbelievable next 30 days.
Tale #1: Snow White and the 8 Clients
Did I say Snow White? I meant Diane. Sorry. Did I mention that it’s Friday?!

How’d the knight in shining armor get into this picture?
A couple months ago I was talking to one of Noomii’s coaches and I asked her, as I often do, “what is the best way that you have gotten clients?†Most people say “word of mouth†but Diane had an unbelievable story.
She said that when she was fairy new, I mean fairly new to coaching she gave herself a challenge to give away 30 free coaching sessions in 30 days. That’s a pretty big challenge and she did it. And as a result, 8 of those people hired her.
Or was it 11 clients? The point is she got a bunch of clients in 30 days by sticking her head out there and giving herself a specific challenge.
Here are a few of the take-aways that I remember from the conversation.
1. Her personal challenge was a great conversation starter – Diane told me that before the challenge, she felt so awkward introducing herself as a life coach. Can you relate??! I can. Suddenly, by giving herself a challenge, it became the perfect way to introduce herself to new people.
As branding expert Liz Goodgold advocates in the webinar we held earlier in September, it created a headwhip effect. The perfect conversation starter instead of the boring dead-end conversation that goes like this…
Dwarf: “Hi, how are you?â€Â
Coach: “Great. How are you?â€Â
Dwarf: “Great. So tell me, what do you do and why are you sleeping in 7 tiny beds at the same time?â€Â
Coach: “Oh, I’m a life coach and I’m tired.â€Â
Dwarf: “Oh ya. [uncomfortable silence] I guess I’ll go back to mining now. Bye.â€Â
…the conversation goes like this…
Coach: “I’m doing unbelievably well. I’m on day 9 of a 30-day challenge to scare myself everyday so I’ve wandered into this dark forest with that Chris Hemsworth resembling huntsman sent by my mean old mother-in-law. How are you short stuff?â€Â

My wife tells me there are scarier things than going into a dark forest with this guy. I wonder what she means by that?
2. Her gusto was infectious – an hour before one of her scheduled appointments with one of the 30 happy characters in her story, she got a disappointing text message:
“I can’t make the call. Sorry. Love, the Queen of Hearts.â€Â
Quickly followed by a second text message:
“But my crusty and jealous old friend can sure use a little pick me up. She tells me her adopted kids Hanzel and Gretel are monopolizing the attention of her hubby and eating all the food – the little brats. Can we do our call next week?â€Â
3. Don’t eat apples from adorable old ladies – I have no idea why she passed on that little bit of advice but she told me to just trust her. It is apple harvest season so I guess it seems appropriate that I share that one.
4. Speaking of Challenges – If you haven’t caught the details already, we are hosting a 3 New Clients in 30 Days Challenge. It’s gonna be unbelievable. Check it out.

Tale #2 – Puss ‘n Boots Bags 4 Clients
I was talking to another coach just the other day who was telling me about her woeful husband who felt down on his luck. All he had was his talking cat, I mean talking wife (hey, that’s a cheap shot), who for some really weird reason, liked to wear boots. Big leather ones that fold at the knees. Meow.
Sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? Well that’s because I made it up. What can I say, I like fairy tales.
Anyway, the wife, let’s call her Bess (because calling her Puss just doesn’t seem appropriate), the main character in this real story bagged herself 4 clients in a couple weeks by placing affordable, well-designed snares in local newspapers. The curious little rabbits and partridges, I mean people, who responded to her ad were interested in losing weight, quickly. Go figure.
Weight loss is a developing theme in modern day stories. Not so much in the days of the Marquis of Carabas, but I digress.
With nothing other than a phone number in the newspaper ad, Bess got phone calls. It turns out that about one out of every 10 callers hired her for weight loss coaching. A couple more were interested but the timing was not right, so she neatly tucked those ones into her bag for later. And the rest were not interested.
The big take-away that I got from talking to Bess was that you need to know what the pain of your clients is and how to communicate to them in a way that makes your offer irresistible for them to seek more information. Had she had a full website dedicated to the singular concept she was advertising, her reach could expand well beyond that of the local newspapers.
Not bad for an afternoon of dropping snares in local newspapers.
Tale #3 – Hunter Phoenix Turns 5 Mice into Coachmen…All Before 12
Get it?! Coachmen. Men (and woMEN) looking to be coached.
In the last 11 days, all before midnight, Hunter Phoenix received 5 requests for the ball, I mean requests for consultations, from 5 coach match requests on Noomii.com. With those kinds of results, she appears to be the queen of the fairy tales today.
No kidding, this is her bio, as sent to me about a week ago:
Hunter Phoenix is a Certified Life & Success Coach, national speaker, author of the soon to be released book “Perfect Lives and Other Fairy Tales†and the creator of the Life By Design™ & Biz Breakthrough™ Coaching Systems. She helps clients strike the sweet spot between simple self-care and accelerated growth.
Rather than steal her thunder. I’ll let Hunter share her expertise as to why and how she’s been able to get so many clients to respond to her on Noomii.com, starting next Tuesday at 1pm. If I didn’t catch it already, Hunter and I are delivering an unbelievable challenge for you to get 3 New Clients in 30 Days.
