Standing in your own way and have no idea how the hell to move out of it? These anti-self-sabotage tips will help.
We all know it but yet so little of us actually do something about it. Self-sabotage is probably the number 1 way in which we hold ourselves back from being happy and living the life we love. There are many ways in which it shows up and definitely a lot of tools that we can use to move past it. So, if you too struggled with self-sabotage recently, keep on reading because you’ll learn some amazing stuff today.
I get it, you are probably somewhere between unmotivated, absolutely lost or really doubting yourself. Trust me, I know how it is to be there.
You have absolutely no motivation to show up for what you need to do because you have no idea where to start. You might even think that you’re not capable of doing whatever you need to do.
Look I get it. We are in this together. Don’t you worry!
When first started out creating my dream life I had no idea what to do. I was just blindly going for what I thought was the right thing to do. I did all the things that I thought would actually get me to where I want to be, but in reality I had no idea what I was doing.
Sometimes I would see some results and often times I would not. But the biggest upset was that once I saw results I had no idea as to how to duplicate them. + I had so many limiting beliefs around literally everything.
I knew I was totally self-sabotaging because as much as the great things I focused on came true, so did the not so great things.
I used to believe that…
“I am not good enough”
“I can’t do this”
“I am never going to be successful”
“People don’t like what I do”
“No one is going to care”
“I am never going to make money”
All those limiting beliefs held me back from 1) being happy and 2) being successful with my business.
I knew that those beliefs weren’t serving me and that I needed to do something to change them or else I would continue manifesting things into my life that I’d rather not have there.
The question now is, how do we move past self-sabotage and learn to master ourselves.
The first way in which we can learn to master ourselves and move past self-sabotage is to realize that we are self-sabotaging.
With awareness comes change, so take time to reflect and question why you are feeling the way you are feeling or why certain things come to you in life. Is it maybe that you are focusing on something, a thought or feeling, that attracts this circumstance?
Second, work on your mindset, work on changing those thought and belief patterns that cause you negativity and that aren’t serving your goals.
Third, every single day carve out time to focus on what you really want and build your resilience through mindset work.
Letting go of self-sabotage is a life long process and you need to make this choice every single day again and again.
It will show up in many sneaky ways every time you think now I am on a good track. So be aware and commit to putting in the work to better your mindset and take care of your emotional space.
