Writing "Well" is Not Good Enough. Learn to Write Emotionally Compelling Copy for Your Ideal Clients
I started this week's Profile Review Friday by recommending that you triple check your profile copy. You need to be 100% certain that there are no spelling or grammar mistakes. It matters. Maybe it doesn't to all prospective clients, but why take the chance?!
That said, the big take-away from this call goes well beyond good grammar and spelling. Instead, it focuses on the message your conveying and making sure that it is compelling for your ideal clients. Here's how Rebecca, a participant in this week's profile review, sums it up:
"One of the problems we had with our profile, is that we tend to write well. We know this. The problem with writing well doesn't mean you are writing effectively for what you are trying to accomplish [which is to get more clients]. We started [at the beginning of this Profile Review Friday webinar] talking about making sure grammar and spelling are correct. Our struggle has not been necessarily having a voice or a tone or anything like that. As you pointed out, even when you have a profile that sounds good, is it actually conveying the information that it needs to convey to attract these clients?"
I don't want to give away the secret, but have a listen to the call (the widget is below). The best part starts at around the 24-minute mark.
