Noomii Sales Academy: How to Kick off 2021 with New Clients
Now is the time to sharper your sales and marketing saw. Join Noomii Sales Academy to learn the skills and techniques used by Noomii's top selling coach in 2020.
If you are like most coaches, you want to work with people who are motivated and excited to transform their lives. You want to work with clients who are going to make it happen and in three to six months, offer amazing success stories that show off your skills as a coach.
I love those clients too. Here's the problem with waiting for those clients: 97% of coaching clients are not like that.
Most coaching clients need accountability and that's why they are looking for coaching in the first place. And even if they go for a test drive (i.e. get a free consultation), it doesn't mean they are going to hire a coach. The act of 'working with a coach' may fall on the dreaded 'I will do that tomorrow' list which never gets done.
Therefore, if you want to take advantage of the 2021 season of New Year's Resolution (which is going to be HUGE because as we've previously written, there has never been a better time to be a coach), you need to operate your sales and marketing efforts knowing that 97% of clients need guidance, motivation, and accountability.
We have partnered with Noomii's top selling coach in 2020, Don Markland, to show you how to find and maintain the energy prospects have to improve their own lives. Selling to someone who is eager and ready is a dream. Selling to someone who has objections, concerns, and fears is way more common and there is a strategy that works.
The Birds in the Park Story
I once attended a meeting of coaches and in the audience was a brand new coach. Using a beautiful metaphor, he described his business building strategy like this:
Imagine a sunny day and going down to the local park, sitting on a bench, and observing the activity. There's people jogging, toddlers playing in the grass, and of course, birds hovering around, looking for leftover picnic crumbs. He then said that he would reach into his pocket and fill his hands with bird seed. Gently, he would lower his hands to the ground and shake a few seeds onto the ground by his feet and wait. At first, one bird would notice and scurry to grab a seed. Then there would be two birds, then three, then five, then ten. Eventually, the birds would be eagerly eating right out of his hand.
That's how he wanted his sales and marketing efforts to go. He wanted to open his hands full of food and expect dozens of people to come flocking to his offering.
That is a great image of what marketers might call a "pull strategy" which means that clients come to you with little to no effort on your part. Unfortunately, it's not reality for most coaches and for most prospective clients.
Like I said before, clients are filled with trepidation and even though coaching may sound great, they may not move forward with it.
In Noomii Sales Academy, we're going to show you how to proactively deal with the 97% of clients who have concerns and fears that get in the way of their own success.
