The New You Coaching Scholarship Program is an opportunity for us to offer coaching to people who are not able to afford coaching.

When Noomii began 10 years ago, our ultimate goal was, and still is, to increase global well-being and spread the gift of coaching to those in need, to help them thrive and live a meaningful, engaging and joyful life.

One of our core values at Noomii is that “We care.” We care about our coaches and their needs, we care about the clients who come to us for recommendations and support and we care about providing coaching to anyone who could benefit from an accountability partner and support system. Although many amazing people would love to take advantage of coaching and, if given the chance, would be able to achieve great things with the support of a coach, they simply can’t afford it.

How the program works

From time-to-time, Noomii receives a personalized coach request from an outstanding individual who has drive, ambition and attainable goals for their future, but just can’t quite fit the cost of coaching into their budget.

A Noomii coach matching specialist will call or email this person to get more details about their situation and why they need a coach. If we think they are a good candidate for coaching, we invite them to apply for the New You Coaching Scholarship Program. This allows us to further qualify the applicant, so we know they are serious about coaching and it also helps us get a better understanding of their needs and expectations.

When we choose a successful applicant, we send their details to volunteer coaches and the coach can decide if it’s a good fit for them or not.

It’s important to note that the New You Coaching Scholarship Program will, by no means, be a free-for-all service offered to anyone that doesn’t have the funds to hire a coach. Anyone being considered for the program will be put through an extensive screening process and hand-picked by the Noomii team, to ensure they have drive and are willing to put in the work that comes along with having a coach.

We want to extend the offer to only individuals who are ready and motivated to put in the work, who have an understanding of what coaching engagements entail and know what will be expected of them.

In exchange for the pro bono coaching engagement, the client will be required to provide the coach with a written testimonial.

The program offers a chance to give back

A coach on our network came to us with the desire to give back and to gain more experience by offering pro bono coaching to select clients. This is something that has come up in the past, when client leads with a ton of potential just simply can’t foot the bill for coaching. In every case, we were fortunate to find amazing coaches willing to provide their services for free. We considered these acts to be very special and in line with our values, but also something we would never expect from our paid members.

We know that coaches are with us to grow their businesses, gain more paying clients and expand their client base. Therefore, we would never ask any of our members to offer their services for free. We all have to make a living after all and your coaching services are of great value.

That said, we’ve gathered that there is a desire out there to share coaching with those in need. We have had seasoned coaches approach us to let us know they save a space in their practice to offer free coaching to one person per year. We’ve also had brand new coaches inquire about offering free coaching to gain more experience after they complete their training and begin the transition from student into full-time coach.

The program sets clear expectations

The New You Coaching Scholarship Program has specific parameters in order to ensure both the coach and client are clear about what is expected. We want both parties to get value from the engagement, but it’s also very important that any coaches taking part in the program aren’t being taken advantage of for their generosity.

Therefore, we have created an agreement to be signed prior to starting the engagement, outlining the pre-set length and general structure. Coaches who volunteer themselves for the program will be expected to coach the client for two months, for a maximum total of six sessions that are 45 minutes in length each.

What’s more, we will only be selecting a maximum number of clients per month for the program, so coaches can rest assured that they won’t be overwhelmed with a ton of new clients wanting free coaching from them.
